I have a Dachshund named Kody. When Kody came into my life it was a major event that changed me forever. You'll be hearing a lot about Kody in the future.
Sometimes Kody does things that just catch me by surprise and make me so happy. Today, after eating a particularly large lunch, Kody grabbed one of his toys and jumped on the couch. Right after he jumped up he let out this huge burp with the toy still in his mouth. We were both surprised by it. I just started laughing and couldn't stop.
Kody doesn't usually burp or fart, so when he does it's always an event.
I love this part of having a dog. As I was laughing I thought about how people say having a dog reduces your blood pressure and has all sorts of other health benefits. I realized I wouldn't be laughing if I didn't have Kody, and it made me appreciate him all the more. I just had that wonderful feeling inside when you appreciate your dog and you're so glad they're there.
