This is a very helpful hint, if you don’t know it already. And by looking at the pet store today most of you don’t. The time to buy dog toys is the days after a major holiday. All the themed dog toys go on sale for 50% off.
I went to the store today and got ten dog toys for like $36 bucks! And these aren’t little ones. These are soccer playing Santas with knit shorts and scarves and soccer balls and the whole deal. They are so ornate I was serious considering keeping some for Christmas decorations. Anyway, I may even go back because the deals are so good. Kody doesn’t know the difference and we just finished with the Halloween toys last week.
One thing he always does when he gets a new toy is try to bury it. This is cute, but sometimes he scrapes up his nose a little because he’s trying to bury it in blankets, not dirt. Does anyone do anything clever to let their dog “bury” things inside?

Shopsy only ever tries to bury his porkhide bone – but he suffers the same way you say Kody does – he tries to bury it in chairs and blankets and his nose ends up getting sore. You’d think they’d learn.
If you get any ideas for things to bury toys in, we’d love to know.
