		<description>Hi, just found your blog through the 31 day blog challenge. Great list post, I think this is something all dog owners need to be reminded of!

People need to think really carefully before letting their dog loose unsupervised or walking/hiking with their dog off leash. Even if your dog has a great &#039;come,&#039; that still doesn&#039;t stop other off-leash dogs from attacking or your dog messing with things like skunks, opossums or rattlesnakes. 

Then again, it is a balance of considering the probability of threats/dangers with the joy the dog gets from being able to run around a bit! Highly trained, reliable dogs often do just fine off leash or with minimum supervision in low-risk situations.
