Houston, Texas
jury selection – July 2009
original crime – March 2007
Katherine Nadal (mother)
Holden Gothia (child)
Allen Isbell (Nadal's attorney)
"The dog inflicted the injuries. My client did not do anything to cause those," said Allen Isbell, Nadal's attorney.
Isbell said he will present expert testimony to show the wounds were consistent with those caused by a dog.
We certainly don't want innocent people going to jail. However, this situation is pretty messed up. Even if the dog did it, it's unlikely the mother won't be held at least partially responsible. I'm betting that in court they will be able to show pretty clearly whether the damage was caused by human or a dog.
If she indeed did this to her child then that should be the death sentence for her.
There is no excuse to hurt a child even if you under drugs. Whats wrong in America people get away with Killing Raping and hurting Kids all over this Country. This Is so sad to see.
If she is guilty of thhis crime she should be punished severly not with a slap on her wrist.
Amen
