Oliver has the most interesting coat color I've seen in a dachshund. He's mostly reddish-brown with a white blaze on his chest, and caramel highlights on his face, legs and belly. He's a delight on leash, and has the "up" command down pat, but will still need some obedience training to learn additional basic commands. Oliver is definently a lover, and gives plenty of kisses and smiles. He would also be great around kids ages 5 and up, as he is patient and gentle. Oliver is low to medium energy, so to keep him in shape he could be taken on regular walks, to the dog park, or have another dog at home to play with. I thought this picture was very interesting. Doesn't this dog look like a mix of some sort? His shape is basically right for a dachshund, but somethings a little off.
I know dachshund genes tend to be very dominant, even Kody looks exactly like a dachshund even though he's only 75%. His coat is just a tiny bit different. Looks like that's the case with this dog too.
