The saga of Ferris the stolen dachshund has a happy ending -- for everyone except the trio who swiped him. Thanks to the Boulder Police Department's energetic efforts to locate the parties who spirited the pooch away from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, a good Samaritan who'd been asked to watch him heard about the crime and returned the walking sausage to the Humane Society in time to star in the Boulder Daily Camera video above. On Friday, Ferris was adopted into a good home, and later that day, the cops identified, busted and booked alleged dognappers Serina Ojala, Daniel Kitlitz and Matthew Dailey for theft of an item valued at less than $500 -- although Ferris is clearly worth much more than that in sheer love.
Here is a video of Ferris, the dachshund who was stolen and returned. I may be biased, but I think dachshunds make the cutest puppies. He looks very tall, doesn't he?
