It's interesting read the two different sides of the story. However, what actually happened seems pretty clear. I'll let you read to make your own judgement.
I can't imagine how a dog could be more loved than living in this type of environment. It makes me think maybe more residence halls should have dogs. This dog sounds like he's good at bonding the students with the staff, which can sometimes be hard in a residence hall environment.
