Through all of our training, Kody is still very excited by squirrels. He barks and if he were off leash would love to chase them. But something really interesting happened today.

Kody saw a squirrel through the slider and the just wagged his tail and watched. The squirrel stuck around for a little while and Kody just watched quietly and intently.

I like to think this is due to the different slider training I've been working on trying to get Kody to be a little more relaxed and quiet when something outside distracts him. But maybe he's just getting more mature, because I know of plenty of older dogs that can watch squirrels outside from inside and stay calm.

It was kind of an amazing moment.
