What a great idea! This type of instruction will help kids and adults to see that a dog should be chosen based on the responsibilities one will have. Which means they will see there are responsibilities. It seems like many adults don't understand that. This will definitely help keep dogs out of rescues.

I remember hearing about this story when it first came out after I first adopted Kody. At the time it was talked about as an example of how aggressive those little dachshunds could be. It turns it out, it probably wasn't the dachshund. The article notes that the dachshund was adopted out, thank goodness.
