It's really amazing to me how vivid people's memories are when it comes to dachshunds. Again and again people come forth with wonderful stories about their dachshunds, and it usually turns out they've had more than one and that dachshunds are a family tradition.

This is just a nice editorial about a man who lost a dog and then gained a dog and ponders how people can be cruel to animals. He talks about Michael Vick and Cesar Millan, neither of whom seem to be doing him much good.

This article is interesting. It talks about some of the same concerns I would have getting a second dog. A second dog for us would be way off in the future, but I'm glad to see there are other people who are thinking about these issues.
