Something interesting is going on. My apartment did their bi-yearly fertilization of the grass and when it's this fresh Kody won't walk on it. He will again in a couple of days, but in the meantime, it's causing some strange behavior.
Like most dachshunds Kody likes to sleep in between my legs at night. It's very warm for both of us which is good in the winter. In the summer we both appreciate our space a little more.
Every night Kody eats his dinner out of his Canine Genius which he loves. In the process some food inevitably flies under objects. When Kody is done, he walks over to the objects and looks at me to retreive the food for him.
I have to be honest, I'm an atheist, but I'm still a spiritual thinker in many ways. As I was laying in bed waking up with Kody the other day, I realized he was the closest thing to God I had ever met.
One thing I'm working through is getting more fun activities for Kody that are easy for me too. After letting me work a few hours he will ask for play and it breaks my heart, he makes it so obvious, and sometimes I'm in the middle of something.
I have had a lot to learn with Kody, but one thing I am good at is potty training. It's because I put so much time into it. I know how bad it feels to have to go to the bathroom when you're not able to and I don't want Kody to feel that.
